Not well-known to many people, William Shakespeare was an avid stringer of beads. On occasion, this hobby would get in the way of his day job of writing plays and sonnets. In fact, while writing "Hamlet", Shakespeare developed writer's block to the point where he could make no progress. Finding it hard to write, he found himself beading quite a lot. But by doing this, he was not writing at all, and so he pondered whether he should give up his hobbies altogether to stay focused. He thought "To bead or not to bead? That is the question."
