Renowned 538 pollster Nate Silver recently had a back injury which caused him so much pain that he was uncomfortably hunched over. Despite his injury, he had to make a presentation to a group at a national political science conference. As he often did, he quietly rehearsed his speech under his breath as he nervously made his way around the room.
Two convention-goers noticed him and one said to the other, "What do you suppose Nate Silver is doing?" The other said, "I don't know, but it looks like he's polling my leg."
