The pieces of equipment at the gym were talking among themselves about how they were being treated by the gym patrons..

The treadmill said, "There was some fellow on top of me and it felt like he was going nowhere fast."

The jump rope said, "Well, I had several people who skipped right over me."

The barbell said,"Yesterday somebody came in and said 'it looked like someone had put on a little weight.'"

The ten pound weight said, "Oh yeah, how would you feel if everyone you met called you a dumbbell all day long?"
